Vargas Lugo’s work is composed by paintings, collages, sculptures and installations, distinguished by the simplicity and elegancy of its shapes, as well as visual and conceptual games interlaced. His works combined the third dimension with a flat quality effect, that is accomplish by means of fine superimposed cuts of paper. His concern has to do with the conventionality of measures, signs and times, emphasizing on the mysterious sense that the notion of writing has in his work.

Vargas Lugo trough conventional representations such as weather diagrams, maps, psychological tests or camouflage spots; that derive in ambiguous drawings suspended in monochromatic spaces, in a desire to amplify the spectator’s vision.
