Jorge Méndez Blake uses literature as a conceptual tool to articulate a language that oscillates between writing and visual arts. His work explores the possible connections between classic literature, art and culture, merging a complex mix of historic and geographic elements that lead us to new considerations on cultural manifestations and the ties between them.

The work of Méndez Blake focuses on the relation and the possibility, moving away from the fixed meanings of art, in search of an opening that embraces the complexity of Contemporary culture.
